05 Jun Eton Institute Distributes Over 18,000 Emirati Arabic Phrasebooks to Mosques across Dubai

Eton Institute is giving away Emirati Arabic Phrasebooks to promote knowledge and learning of the local language.

Dubai, 5th June, 2017– The UAE is a melting pot of cultures, welcoming people from multiple countries, speaking over 50 different languages and making up almost 80% of the total population. Despite this fact, Arabic remains one of the most important languages spoken in the country, especially for official and business purposes. Government initiatives such as making Arabic a mandatory language for all bills & receipts, as well as the creation of the Arabic Language Charter, highly encourage more people to learn the native language.

To support the UAE’s initiatives for the preservation of the Emirati Arabic language and in the spirit of giving during the Holy Month of Ramadan, Eton Institute has donated 18,000 Emirati Arabic Phrasebooks to mosques across the nation.

Tudor Totoescu, Corporate Manager at Eton Institute, commented, “This Ramadan we thought of not only sharing the beauty of the Emirati Arabic language at Eton Institute but also throughout the country. So far, we’ve shared close to 18,000 Emirati Arabic phrasebooks in mosques across Dubai and still going strong. Ramadan Kareem!”

Eton Institute is also giving out large quantities of Emirati Arabic phrasebooks to companies across the country (50 phrasebooks or more, while stocks last). This initiative is aimed at encouraging professionals to learn the local language, while enhancing their cultural awareness.
