Eton Institute is organizing a free Chinese Cultural Event in celebration of the Chinese New Year and the advent of this very special Year of the Horse.

Dubai, 3^rd February 2014 – As the Chinese people say goodbye to the Year of the Snake, they welcome the Year of the Horse with open arms. Also known as the Spring Festival, the Chinese New Year is one of the most important and elaborate festivals of China. The Year of the Horse symbolizes energy, intelligence, peace and physical strength, and is considered a good year that brings luck.

Come and experience the Chinese culture firsthand at Eton Institute’s free Chinese Cultural Event. Enjoy fascinating legends, origins of the Chinese zodiac and ancient tales of wisdom. Why the Year of the Horse is special: The spirit of the horse is recognized to be the Chinese people’s ethos – making unremitting efforts to improve themselves. Ancient people liked to designate an able person as ‘Qianli Ma’, a horse that covers a thousand li a day (one li equals 500 metres).

Birth Years: People born in Horse years (2014, 2002, 1990, 1978, 1966, 1954, 1942, 1930, 1918, 1906) are bright, cheerful, popular, and fun loving. They find people and crowds exciting, and love parties.
