03 May Eton Institute Supports Cultural Awareness and Understanding for Expatriates in the UAE

Eton Institute partners with ExpatConnect to deliver a ‘Free Cultural Workshop: Living and Working in the UAE’ for expatriates in the country.

Dubai, 3rd May, 2017 – Research suggests that a majority of the expatriates residing in the UAE are unaware of the nation’s local culture and traditions. A study conducted by UAE’s Ministry of Interior stated that approximately 72% of expats have little to no knowledge about the country’s culture.

Supporting the UAE’s Vision 2021 and one of the six national agendas, Cohesive Society and Preserved Identity, Eton Institute is conducting a free cultural workshop for expatriates in the country: Living and Working in the UAE, on the 17th of May, 2017.

Tudor Totoescu, Corporate Training Manager, commented, “Conducting business in the UAE requires you to be aware as well as respectful of the native culture and language. While it may take years of residency to learn about the local heritage and customs of a country, our free workshop ‘Living and Working in the UAE’ provides all the vital information in a concise and effective manner, from business etiquette to essential Arabic language skills. As part of our mission to promote borderless communication through world-class communication and learning, this free workshop will benefit newcomers as well as settled expats working in various industries across the region.”

This workshop will take place on the 17th of May, 2017, Wednesday, between 6 pm – 8 pm in Conference Room 3, Block 1, Dubai Knowledge Park.

Attendance is limited and seats will be given on a first-come, first serve basis. Individuals wishing to attend are encouraged to register on the website: https://etoninstitute.com/event/free-workshop-living- working-uae/
