In celebration of Ramadan, Eton Institute has held a Charity Iftar for laborers as part of their annual CSR initiatives.
Dubai, 6th July 2015 – Eton Institute, a leading international language and professional development training provider, has organized a charity Iftar for the hardworking laborers of Toscana Landscaping and Pools Services LLC in line with its annual CSR initiatives. According to the Permanent Committee for Labour Affairs (PCLA), there are 569,128 unskilled workers in Dubai. Being able to reach out to at least a portion of this population in the season of gift giving and community building is something that Eton Institute takes pride in.
The Iftar was held in the Institute’s premises in Dubai Knowledge Village on July 2, 2015 where over a 100 laborers were welcomed. Eton Institute’s community of students, staff and instructors all came together in setting up the venue, ushering the guests and distributing the food packages. The guests were treated with dates, savory delights, fruits, juice, chicken and vegetable biryani and more.
To witness the happiness and gratefulness expressed by our guests was a rewarding and humbling experience. It made us realize how blessed we are and how much a little hospitality and charity can mean to someone, commented Manon Hazell, Marketing Manager at Eton Institute.
Also, as this charity event was conducted during the month of Ramadan, it helped us to be personally aware and enlightened on the rich traditions and customs of the holy month, she added.
